According to a communique issued by the Romanian government, Prime Minister chuka recently chaired a meeting to study the investment of more than 16 billion euros in the energy field by 2030, aiming to vigorously develop the energy industry, realize the transformation to an environment-friendly economy and deal with the impact of climate change.
Prime Minister chuka requested that priority be given to expanding the production capacity of renewable energy projects in order to generate economic benefits and create new employment opportunities in future technical fields. Chuka said that clean energy represents the future and is also a guarantee to improve Romania's energy independence. Romania must develop its energy system sustainably, provide energy for citizens and private enterprises, and fundamentally change Romania's energy infrastructure and energy structure through the investment planned by the national recovery and resilience plan and the modernization fund.
The communique pointed out that Romania fully supports the EU's efforts in the field of climate change and promises to help reduce EU emissions by 2030. Rocco renewable energy has accounted for a high proportion in the energy structure, and 40% of electricity comes from renewable energy. The new investment projects will involve renewable energy, coal substitution, nuclear energy, cogeneration, biofuels, energy infrastructure modernization and other fields, benefiting communities, so that they can obtain funds for the modernization of regional heating network.
